PeteFest was a deeply personal, fiercely joyful music festival I co-produced in honour of a dear friend diagnosed with terminal cancer. Born out of a desire to celebrate his life through the music he loved, it became an incredible testament to the power of community. As co-producer, I channelled my heavy-duty event logistics into wrangling bands, managing site infrastructure, and ensuring the day ran flawlessly so everyone could simply focus on being together. It was a chaotic, beautiful, and profoundly moving project that proved live music’s unmatched ability to bring light into the darkest of times.
